Job summary

SPX Technologies seeks an Assembler I to assemble cooling towers or air handling systems in a progressively skilled manufacturing environment. You will follow engineering drawings, build orders, and quality standards to perform mechanical assembly and system integration from start to finish.

You will develop foundational assembly skills, learn blueprint interpretation, and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to follow work instructions and blueprints.
• Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Learn blueprint reading and assembly processes.
• Team-oriented and committed to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, adjust, and install prefabricated parts to manufacture air handling systems.
• Interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, material lists and revisions.
• Assemble and install mechanical, structural, and modular components safely.
• Operates overhead cranes and material handling equipment per procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; participate in cross-training.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly efficiency.
