Job summary

SPX Technologies in Madison, Alabama is hiring for an Assembler I on the 2nd shift. You will independently assemble cooling tower and air handling components, following engineering drawings, build orders, and quality standards.

The role involves mechanical assembly, system integration, and basic troubleshooting under supervision. We seek individuals with basic mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and a safety-focused mindset who can work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn mechanical assembly processes.
• Ability to follow work instructions, blueprints, and verbal directions accurately.
• Willingness to operate hand/pneumatic tools and measurement devices safely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, adjust, and install prefabricated parts to manufacture air handling systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and build orders to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Use hand tools, measuring devices, and assemblies safely and accurately.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; participate in cross-training across stations.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
