Job summary

Aramex is seeking an Air Freight Specialist to be the primary contact for air freight inquiries, maintaining strong client relationships and delivering tailored freight solutions. You will procure competitive rates, manage shipments end-to-end, and support the sales team in securing new business opportunities.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in business and 3–4 years in air freight forwarding, with experience negotiating rates and using CargoWise.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of air freight forwarding experience.
• Proven experience in customer service and managing key business clients; negotiate rates with airlines.
• Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Provide comprehensive air freight solutions to clients, addressing their requirements and ensuring satisfaction.
• Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships to foster loyalty and retention.
• Assist clients in resolving claims, payment issues, or pending shipments promptly and efficiently.
• Oversee the lifecycle of air freight shipments from booking to delivery.
• Support the sales team by providing accurate quotes and following up on opportunities.
• Coordinate air freight logistics with internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, agents, and offices.
• Exceed freight targets for assigned customers through proactive management.
• Report operational failures to management and keep clients informed of delays or issues.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with customers at the station level to enhance negotiating power and secure competitive rates.
• Collaborate with the regional pricing desk for requests for quotations (RFQs), projects, and tenders as required.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in the air freight forwarding industry, with a strong understanding of global trade lanes, airlines, and air freight solutions.
• Proven experience in customer service and managing key business clients, as well as negotiating rates with the airlines.
• Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written communication skills, particularly in crafting professional emails
