Job summary

Maersk in the United States (South Carolina) is seeking an Air Freight Operator to manage end-to-end air freight shipments, with a focus on air imports and flexible support for air exports as needed. You will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution from booking through final delivery, while maintaining superior customer service.

You will own file management, documentation, system updates, and communication with internal stakeholders to keep shipments moving smoothly, including CargoWise

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Air Freight Operations experience preferred.
• Strong experience in Air Import operations required.
• Air Export experience considered an asset.
• Experience working within freight forwarding or logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage air import shipments from booking confirmation through final delivery.
• Monitor shipment milestones for on-time movement and compliance.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, airlines, trucking providers, warehouses, customs brokers, and customers.
• Ensure import documentation is received, reviewed, and processed accurately.
• Track shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues.
