Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Air Freight Operator to manage end-to-end air freight shipments, with emphasis on imports and flexibility for exports. You will ensure timely, compliant operations and strong customer service, maintaining accurate data and proactive communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating imports, monitoring milestones, and updating CargoWise One records, while aligning with SOPs and regulatory requirements to move shipments efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Air Freight Operations experience preferred.
• Strong experience in Air Import operations required.
• Air Export experience considered an asset.
• Experience working within freight forwarding or logistics environments.
• Experience using transportation management systems such as CargoWise One preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate air import shipments from booking confirmation through final delivery.
• Monitor shipment milestones to ensure timely movement and compliance with customer requirements.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, airlines, trucking providers, warehouses, customs brokers, and customers.
• Ensure all import documentation is received, reviewed, and processed accurately.
• Track shipment status and proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
• Arrange delivery appointments and coordinate final-mile transportation as required.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain timely and accurate shipment updates within the company operating system.
