Job summary

GEODIS USA, LLC is seeking an Air Operations Manager in Elk Grove Village, IL to direct import/export operations and improve efficiency. You will lead a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage client accounts while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 4–7 years of relevant experience, with strong MS Office skills and knowledge of international air freight regulations. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4–7 years in air freight or related field.
• Knowledge of AES, AMS, TSA, IATA/ICAO rules, and Incoterms.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret business publications and regulations.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs import/export operations and oversees department functions.
• Monitors productivity and assigns new accounts.
• Trains staff on new client accounts and processes.
• Reviews reports to identify and fix errors and discrepancies.
• Manages hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Ensures time and attendance is properly recorded.
• Oversees on-site technologies and supports other stations as needed.
• Participates in industry seminars and conferences.
