GEODIS is seeking an Air Operations Manager in Elk Grove Village, IL to direct import/export operations, ensure compliance, and drive profitability. The role requires managing teams, onboarding new accounts, training staff, and maintaining client relationships.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of international air freight procedures, customs, AES/AMS/TSA/IATA/ICAO rules, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting. This position offers growth and industry involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• 4–7 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of international air freight, customs, Incoterms.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong reading, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to solve problems and interpret complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Directs import/export operations of the department.
• Monitors team productivity and assigns new accounts.
• Establishes new accounts and initiates start-up processes.
• Trains staff on new client accounts.
• Maintains customer relationships and resolves issues.
• Reviews reports to identify errors and discrepancies.
• Oversees on-site technologies and provides cross-station support.
• Participates in industry seminars and events.
