Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. seeks a Gateway Specialist to manage shipments in a HUB environment, consolidating freight and routing efficiently. You will communicate with suppliers, customers, and overseas agents, ensuring compliance and timely updates.

The role requires 2–5 years in freight forwarding, gateway ops experience, and strong MS Office skills. Cargowise familiarity is a plus. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position within a team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience handling air export shipments or freight forwarding.
• Experience in gateway or HUB operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of US exports compliance is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process and close MAWB for consolidations and back-to-back AWBs.
• Book space with carriers.
• Ensure MAWBs are rated correctly.
• Enter spot rates and codes in C1.
• Track shipments and provide COB information to branches.
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients promptly.
• Maintain/update carrier/vendor rates and respond to rate discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
