Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge radio frequency capabilities with USAF requirements. You’ll work with Engineering and BD teams to support acquisition stakeholders, demonstrate interoperability, and ensure field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

Hybrid/remote work option is available depending on location, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Or a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire; Must be a U.S. Citizen; background check and drug test.

Responsabilités

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map operational requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures with benchmarking data.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to meet technical needs.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with DoD offices and AFRL leads to gather requirements and roadmap inputs.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
