Job summary

Expeditors in Ellenwood, GA is seeking an Air Export professional to ensure timely movement of freight and information while delivering exceptional customer service in the Air Export Department.

Responsibilities include tracking air export files, data entry, coordinating with carriers and customers, and maintaining compliance; a Bachelor's degree and basic IT skills are required, with IATA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 1 year of Air Export experience preferred.
• Knowledge of air documentation/process.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Pro-active and well organized with strong time management.
• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to type 45 wpm.
• IATA certification preferred.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace Air Export files and reporting.
• Use Workflows on daily basis.
• Ensure arrival notices are communicated to overseas and customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments and meet service standards.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers (airline carriers, trucking companies, etc.).
• Meet compliance with internal and external regulations and government rules.
• Understand department processes and seek opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Ensure SOPs are in place and updated.
• Meet KPI standards per Company procedures.
• Oversee overseas communications and timely responses to emails and requests.
• Support training and development within the team.
• Communicate reporting and updates to supervisor.

Scope of Position

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Air Export files and reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing

• Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers (Airline carriers, trucking companies and others involved)
• Meet compliance at all times with internal and external regulations in accordance with government regulations
• Understand department process flow, looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are in place and updated
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company's procedure
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalentwork experience
• 1 year of Air Export specific experience
• Knowledge ofair documentation / process
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to type 45wpm
• IATA certification (preferred)
