The role emphasizes compliance with export regulations, accurate documentation, and active client communication. Strong knowledge of air freight and logistics systems is required, with experience in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years in freight forwarding, air export operations, or international logistics; air export experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations, trade regulations, and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with freight forwarding software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments directly from the gateway facility, including booking cargo space and arranging pickups.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Prepare export documentation (air waybills, invoices, packing lists) accurately.
• Verify documentation accuracy to facilitate customs clearance and cargo acceptance.
• Facilitate customs clearance and export declarations as needed.
• Monitor shipment movement from gateway to destination, providing status updates.
• Liaise with carriers, brokers, and service providers to resolve issues.
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers to optimize service quality and cost.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in air export operations.
