Job summary

DSV - Global Transport & Logistics seeks an experienced Freight Forwarder (Air Export) in Grapevine, TX to manage end-to-end export operations from gateway facilities. You will coordinate cargo space, prepare documentation, and ensure on-time delivery to international destinations.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in air export or international logistics, strong knowledge of regulations, and proficiency with CargoWise or CHAMP Cargosystems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments from the gateway facility, including booking cargo space and coordinating with carriers and airlines.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Prepare export documentation, such as air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export licenses, accurately and efficiently.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation to facilitate customs clearance and cargo acceptance.
• Facilitate customs clearance procedures for export shipments, including filing export declarations and obtaining necessary permits or certificates.
• Monitor the movement of export shipments from the gateway facility to the destination airport, tracking transit milestones and providing status updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with freight carriers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and other service providers to coordinate export operations and resolve operational issues.
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in air export operations at the gateway facility.
