Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder for air export operations. You will manage export bookings, prepare documentation, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 2–3 years in freight forwarding, knowledge of air freight regulations, and proficiency with CargoWise or CHAMP Cargosystems. You will liaise with clients and negotiate rates to optimize service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with freight forwarding software and systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments from gateway facility, including booking cargo space and arranging pick-ups.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Prepare export documentation such as air waybills, invoices, packing lists, and export licenses.
• Verify accuracy of documentation to facilitate customs clearance.
• Facilitate customs clearance procedures for export shipments.
• Monitor movement of export shipments to destination and provide status updates.
• Serve as primary client contact for shipment status and documentation.
• Liaise with freight carriers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and other service providers.
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers to optimize service quality and cost.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of shipment data and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in air export operations.
• Implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
