Job summary

Alliance Ground International is seeking a Cargo Dispatch Manager to oversee the safe, efficient movement of air cargo and ensure compliance with airline and regulatory requirements. You will lead daily dispatch activities, coordinate staffing, and drive performance in service, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include managing inbound/outbound cargo, scheduling, workforce planning, and ensuring adherence to SLAs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of cargo, airline, logistics, transportation, or airport operations experience.
• 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of air cargo operations, dispatch procedures, and warehouse logistics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily cargo dispatch operations, including inbound and outbound cargo movements.
• Coordinate cargo processing schedules to ensure on-time performance and customer service goals are achieved.
• Monitor operational workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to airline-specific handling procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage dispatch communications with airlines, trucking vendors, warehouse teams, and airport stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop dispatch supervisors, dispatchers, and operational team members.
• Conduct workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levels based on operational demand.
• Oversee employee training, performance management, and disciplinary actions as required.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Conduct regular operational audits and inspections.
• Investigate operational incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records related to cargo movement, compliance, and operational performance.
