Job summary

Shell is seeking a Trader Intelligence Engineer in Houston, TX to lead the integration, operation, and transformation of a large IT estate supporting a global energy trading business. The role focuses on AIOps, automated incident resolution, and AI-enabled operations to improve trader outcomes and service reliability.

You will collaborate across global teams, implement observability tooling, and drive automation using Python, PowerShell, and Copilot Studio while ensuring governance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in production support, infrastructure or service ops.
• 3+ years in AIOps or AI-enabled operations.
• Experience in energy/commodity trading or trading floor environments preferred.
• Hands-on with Dynatrace, Aternity, SolarWinds or Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Resolve issues across trading‑critical services and hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead incident management for time‑sensitive events.
• Design and operate AIOps capabilities including alerting and self‑healing workflows.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, ML concepts, and Copilot Studio.
• Drive observability strategy and service health visualization across trading services.
