Job summary

LifeStream Behavioral Center, Inc. in Leesburg, FL is seeking an AIMS Rehab Counselor II to support individuals in recovery through personalized counseling and life-skill development.

You will work in the AIMS Program to assist clients toward independence and maximum recovery. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience with neurobiological brain disorders and substance use, plus strong communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Direct experience with neurobiological brain disorders (SPMI) and substance use preferred.
• Experience in supported employment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance abuse and mental health issues.
• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate clients and families about substance abuse, mental health, and community resources.
• Stay informed about developments in counseling and treatment.
• Advocate for clients' needs within community and healthcare systems.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills.

Job Purpose:- AIMS serves as a skills and support day program.
