Job summary

The AIMS Rehab Counselor II at LifeStream Behavioral Center, Leesburg, FL 34748 assists in the AIMS program and helps consumers achieve maximum recovery and independence. You will provide individual and group counseling for substance use and mental health concerns, monitor progress, and educate clients and families on resources.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, or related field and a minimum of three years of direct experience with SPMI and substance abuse.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years direct experience with persons having neurobiological brain disorder (SPMI) and substance abuse disorder.
• Experience working with consumers involved in supported employment.
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation counseling principles and practices.
• Ability to assess client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate client records.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and discretion in sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with applicable laws governing rehabilitation counseling.
