CFS is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Billing Specialist to support billing and accounting operations for construction projects in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on AIA billing, lien waivers, prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll reporting, and collections, with backup support across accounting functions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction accounting experience and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience processing AIA billings.
• Notary Public certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience with Foundation Software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly AIA billings (G702/G703) in accordance with contract requirements.
• Partner with Project Managers to verify percent complete, schedules of values, and billing details.
• Manage lien waivers and ensure compliance with state and contractual requirements.
• Obtain and maintain Notary Public certification to verify signatures and legal documents.
• Calculate prevailing wage rates and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports for qualifying projects.
• Manage collections efforts and work with clients and project teams to resolve payment issues.
• Assist with payroll processing, cash receipt reconciliation, and city tax filings.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
