Job summary

Michigan Virtual is hiring a Media Development Specialist (AI Content Developer) to create and enhance multimedia instructional content using AI tools. You will focus on producing high‑quality, accessible videos and related media that align with course standards and learner needs.

You will design and test prompts, assess existing assets, collaborate with curriculum teams, and ensure compliance with accessibility and copyright guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in educational technology, digital media, communications, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience using AI tools for content creation, media generation, or workflow automation.
• Demonstrated experience with prompt engineering and iterative AI content development.
• Experience working with AI video generation platforms and online learning content.
• Experience working within a learning management system (e.g., Brightspace).
• Advanced proficiency in AI prompting and generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop new video, audio, or image content and replace existing YouTube‑based instructional videos using AI generation tools.
• Design, test, and refine advanced prompts to produce high‑quality, instructionally sound video/audio/image outputs.
• Evaluate existing video content to identify gaps, outdated materials, or opportunities for AI‑driven improvement.
• Collaborate with curriculum and instructional design teams to align AI‑generated content with learning objectives and course standards.
• Ensure all generated media content meets accessibility standards, including captions and transcripts.
• Ensure all generated media conforms with Fair Use / Creative Commons licensing and is properly attributed.
• Iterate on AI‑generated outputs by adjusting prompts and workflows to improve quality and engagement.
• Maintain documentation of prompt strategies, workflows, and best practices for AI content generation.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of AI‑generated video/audio content prior to course integration.
• Stay current with emerging AI tools and technologies related to video/audio generation and content creation.
• Support integration of video/audio content into learning management systems and course platforms.
• Other duties as assigned.
