Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Value Engineer to articulate and quantify the business value of our technology across Enterprise, Education, and Government customers. You will translate AI adoption into measurable financial and operational impact.

As an early member of the Value Engineering team, you will shape how we measure and communicate impact, partnering with Sales, AI Success Engineers, Deployment Engineering, and Product to identify high‑impact use cases and build compelling business cases for

Qualifications

6–10 years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, or adjacent roles.
Strong financial and analytical skills with experience quantifying value for executives.
Experience with large-scale AI, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead business value assessments with customers to quantify OpenAI product value for investments.
Build and maintain standardized ROI, TCO, and value modeling tools.
Lead value discovery to identify high-impact use cases and outcomes.
Publish executive-ready business cases to strengthen C-level relationships.
Codify value frameworks and reusable assets to scale value-based selling.
Establish baselines, KPIs, and dashboards to track value delivery.
Influence deal strategy, renewals, and expansion with post-sale teams.
