Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Value Engineer to articulate and quantify the business value of our technology for Enterprise, Education, and Government customers. You will translate AI adoption into measurable financial and operational impact, working with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Product teams to identify high-impact use cases.

You will help build the value engineering function from the ground up, developing frameworks, ROI models, and dashboards that scale value-based selling across the GTM

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in value engineering, management consulting, or related roles.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with experience presenting to executives.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead business value assessments for major deals with customers.
• Develop standardized ROI, TCO, and value modeling tools.
• Identify high-impact use cases and define measurable outcomes.
• Publish executive-ready business cases for stakeholders.
• Codify value frameworks and reusable assets for GTM teams.
• Establish baselines, KPIs, and dashboards to track value delivery.
• Influence deal strategy, renewals, and expansion with account teams.
• Contribute to thought leadership on AI-driven business transformation.
