Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is hiring a Value Engineer to articulate and quantify the business value of OpenAI’s technology across Enterprise, Education, and Government customers.

You will translate AI adoption into measurable financial and operational impact. As an early member of the Value Engineering team, you will help define how OpenAI measures and communicates real-world impact across customers, partnering with Sales, AI Success Engineers, Deployment Engineering, and Product teams to identify high-impact

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, or adjacent roles.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to quantify value for executives.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with large-scale AI, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead business value assessments for major deals and quantify value of OpenAI products for investment decisions.
• Build standardized ROI, TCO, and value modeling tools for internal and customer use.
• Lead value discovery to identify high-impact use cases and measurable outcomes.
• Publish executive-ready business cases to strengthen C-level relationships.
• Codify value frameworks and reusable assets to scale value-based selling globally.
• Establish baselines, KPIs, and dashboards to track value delivery.
• Collaborate with Account Directors and post-sale teams to influence deal strategy.
• Contribute to thought leadership on AI-driven business transformation.
