Maven Clinic, the world’s largest virtual clinic for women and families, seeks a part-time contract UX writer and voice partner to define Maven’s product voice across navigation, CTAs, clinical modules, and AI agent responses.
You will collaborate with Engineering, Clinical, Product, Legal and Compliance to ensure a single, consistent voice, tone, taxonomy, and language across all user touchpoints and education materials.
Maven Clinic is the world's largest virtual clinic for women and families, on a mission to make healthcare work for all. Through Maven Enterprise, the company partners with more than 2,300 employers and health plans to provide end-to-end women's and family health programs covering fertility and family building, maternity and newborn care, parenting and pediatrics, and menopause and midlife. Through its consumer platform, Maven provides direct access to virtual care across 30+ specialties. Founded in 2014 by CEO Kate Ryder, Maven has raised more than $425 million from investors including General Catalyst and Sequoia, and has been named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies, CNBC Disruptor 50, and FORTUNE Best Places to Work.
This is a part-time contract engagement (20 hours per week, expected to last 3 months with potential to extend) for a conversational AI UX writer and voice partner. You would define what Maven's product and AI agents sound like, serving as the expert on language across the product — from navigation and CTAs to clinical modules and AI agent responses. You would partner directly with Engineering (which owns prompts and configuration), as well as Clinical, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams, bringing a single, consistent point of view on voice, tone, taxonomy, and language.
This is a fully remote role open to US-based candidates with active work authorization. The expected commitment is 20 hours per week, with weekly check-in meetings and brainstorm sessions as needed. The contract is expected to last 3 months, with potential to extend based on business needs and fit.
The compensation for this role is $90–$100 per hour for 20 hours per week, equivalent to approximately $93,600–$104,000 annualized. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience level, and skillset. Contract (1099) providers are not eligible for Maven's standard employee benefits.
