Job summary

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an intermediate-level IT Training Specialist to design, develop, deliver, and assess AI-focused training programs for university employees. The role involves creating engaging learning materials, identifying use cases, and promoting responsible AI practices across campus.

Working with colleges, departments, and technology teams, you will bridge emerging AI tools with real-world applications, demonstrating strong instructional and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
• Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience, but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).
• The ideal candidate combines strong instructional and communication skills with a passion for technology, continuous learning, and organizational transformation.
• Awareness of current standards and trends in IT and emerging technology.
• Proficiency in learning management and design tools (including the Microsoft and Adobe suites, Articulate Rise, Captivate, or Camtasia)
• Work collaboratively and build strategic relationships with both internal and external clients
• Provide excellent service through professional and courteous interactions with internal and external stakeholders while meeting business needs

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging AI-focused training programs, workshops, webinars, and learning resources for employees across the university.
• Introduce employees to emerging AI tools and technologies, demonstrating practical applications that enhance workplace effectiveness and productivity.
• Collaborate with technology teams and business stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, participant feedback, and performance metrics, continuously improving learning programs to maximize impact.
