Job summary

Brillio in New York seeks an AI Strategy & Transformation Lead at Senior Director level to partner with the COO/CTO-equivalent sponsor in a major commercial bank. You will define the AI adoption agenda, set direction, and build an internal case for change.

This embedded role focuses on shaping strategy, leading a new AI product management and strategy function, and driving adoption across risk, compliance, technology and business lines, with measurable outcomes in the first year.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology strategy consulting or enterprise technology leadership.
• Direct experience in banking or another heavily regulated industry.
• 3–5+ years of applied experience in AI strategy, product management, or transformation leadership.
• Proven track record building and leading product or strategy teams, not just staffing existing ones.
• Strong organizational influence skills across teams without direct reports.
• Enterprise-scale change management experience.
• Ability to operate with significant ambiguity and limited infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI strategy and roadmap for the commercial banking technology and business organization, translating executive intent into prioritized actions.
• Identify where AI creates real operating leverage in commercial banking versus hype.
• Stay ahead of the market on AI capability and translate insights into points of view for the executive sponsor.
• Build relationships across business lines, risk, compliance, and technology to drive AI adoption without formal authority.
• Define roles, skills, and org structure for a new AI product management and strategy function from scratch.
• Own adoption strategy for AI tools and workflows, including training, communications, and metrics.
