Job summary

BankUnited is seeking an AI Architect Lead to drive strategy and hands-on evaluation of AI solutions across the enterprise. You will partner with department heads and CTO to shape the Bank's AI framework, oversee architecture patterns, and guide AI-enabled application design and development.

You will conduct PoCs, assess risk and compliance, and collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to translate goals into scalable AI implementations that meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related field.
• 7–9 years translating business requirements into technical requirements.
• 4–6 years full lifecycle application development experience.
• 1–3 years leading project teams and road‑mapping exercises.
• 4–6 years banking/financial background or experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for using AI to enhance business processes.
• Conduct PoCs to demonstrate value and feasibility of AI solutions.
• Advise on selection and implementation of AI technologies.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation for AI solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations and architecture frameworks.
