Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Senior AI Architect to define and own the enterprise AI architecture for retail use cases, spanning data ingestion, model training, and deployment. You will lead open-source AI strategy, governance, and scalable solution design across merchandising, supply chain, stores, marketing, and e‑commerce.

You will architect end-to-end AI systems, drive observability and security, and champion open-source frameworks while collaborating with product leaders to prioritize

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in software, data, or AI engineering with 5+ years in AI/ML architecture roles.
• Demonstrated experience designing production AI solutions in retail or consumer-facing industries.
• Strong proficiency with open-source AI/ML ecosystem and Python ML frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise AI architecture for retail use cases and strategy.
• Lead open-source AI architecture, governance, and framework deployment.
• Architect end-to-end AI solutions across data ingestion, feature engineering, training, inference, and integration.
• Establish AI observability, monitoring, and dashboard standards for production systems.
• Define AI security standards and manage risk across AI/ML deployments.
• Build MLOps, GenAI, and governance practices for scalable AI delivery.
• Champion AI productivity tooling (Copilot, Cursor, Glean, Claude, etc.) in engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI initiatives with business priorities.
