Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of AI solutions across the company’s large-scale technology landscape.

You will architect, review, and guide implementation within a domain of AI/GenAI on the Microsoft Azure stack, including RAG, agentic orchestration, and LLM evaluation frameworks. You will mentor domain engineering teams, promote code modernization, and ensure security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT with technical leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of software development best practices.
• Experience in retail or production/service environments preferred.
• Exposure to agile methodologies and scaled Agile frameworks.
• Experience architecting AI/GenAI on Microsoft Azure stack (Azure OpenAI, AKS, Azure Functions).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and review AI domain implementations and patterns.
• Lead engineering teams and provide guidance on best practices.
• Drive modernization and enterprise-standard AI solutions.
• Build production-ready proofs of concept.
• Define reference architectures for AI/Automation workloads on Azure.
• Guide responsible AI, cost optimization, and governance in domains.
