Job summary

Samsara is seeking an AI Security Engineer to join the security org and advance the company’s AI posture. This remote role focuses on securing software, firmware, and hardware against AI-driven threats, integrating AI tooling, and shaping Samsara's AI security strategy for the long term.

The role requires deep experience in application security, offensive/defensive security, and hands-on AI/LLM tool usage, with collaboration across engineering and leadership to secure AI-enabled systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, or related field.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to security workflows and automation.
• Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware.
• Experience collaborating with engineers to create secure code using GoLang.
• Experience developing AI/agentic solutions using GitHub and AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI-driven/adversarial threats.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for application security, including hardware/firmware adaptations.
• Build and validate AI-enabled security tooling and drive adoption across the security org.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership as the AI security expert.
• Help define Samsara's medium- and long-term AI security strategy and roadmap.
