Job summary

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, seeks an AI Prototyping Engineer in Atlanta. This hybrid, full-time role builds AI prototypes and connects models to data sources to improve client service and delivery of our services.

You will design prompts, interfaces, and workflows, implement access controls and testing, and work closely with the TIP Director and Workflow and Automation Specialist to deliver small, testable solutions quickly.

Qualifications

• Practical software development experience and examples of working applications.
• Hands-on experience with language model APIs or enterprise AI platforms and prompt design.
• Working knowledge of APIs, authentication, databases, source control, debugging, and automated testing.
• Ability to balance speed with clear scope and maintainable code, and collaborate with nontechnical users.

Responsibilities

• Build functional AI prototypes using approved platforms and create usable interfaces.
• Develop lightweight interfaces and services in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript; connect systems via APIs.
• Design prompts, structured outputs, and retrieval from approved sources; build workflows with review points.
• Use synthetic or approved sample data; implement access controls and logging for prototypes.
• Create test sets and evaluations for accuracy, failures, and cost; document changes.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and review generated code; test behavior.
• Demonstrate working software frequently and iterate based on feedback.
• Maintain version-controlled code and document setup, dependencies, and data flows.
