Job summary

Fisher Phillips LLP seeks an AI Prototyping Engineer in Atlanta to build AI prototypes and small, testable solutions that enhance client service. You will connect models and data sources, design prompts, and iterate rapidly with input from the TIP Director and Automation Specialist.

You will collaborate with nontechnical users, implement secure access controls, and document setup, dependencies, and test results to support production readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven software development experience with working applications.
• Hands-on with language model APIs or enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with APIs, authentication, databases, source control, and debugging.
• Ability to balance speed with clear scope and maintainable code.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs and collaborate with nontechnical users.

Responsibilities

• Build functional AI prototypes, including assistants and workflow apps.
• Design prompts, structured outputs, and retrieval from approved sources.
• Use synthetic or approved data for early tests with appropriate access controls.
• Create test sets and evaluations for accuracy, failure handling, and cost.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate work and review generated code.
• Demonstrate working software, troubleshoot blockers, and refine prototypes.
• Maintain version-controlled code and document dependencies and data flows.
