Job summary

Instrument is seeking a hands-on Creative Technologist (contract) to rapidly prototype AI-powered demos and interactive experiences, translating new AI capabilities into shareable prototypes and developer-facing demos.

You will work with creative, design, engineering, and production teams to move from exploration to working prototypes and outputs across formats, including code, screen recordings, and tutorials.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in creative technology, prototyping, or creative development with a portfolio.
• Meaningful hands-on experience with Gemini and Google’s AI developer ecosystem (models, APIs, tools).
• Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, multimodal models, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Strong coding and prototyping skills using modern front-end frameworks and tools.
• Comfortable turning ideas into working prototypes and demos.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly concept, prototype, and ship AI-powered demos tied to emerging models, capabilities, and use cases.
• Stay current with generative AI developments and explore new models, APIs, tools, and capabilities.
• Use AI-assisted development and rapid experimentation to move ideas to working experiences.
• Build functional prototypes, lightweight apps, interactive experiences, and developer-facing demos.
• Translate experiments into outputs across formats: code, screen recordings, social content, tutorials, and open-source repos.
• Collaborate closely with creative, design, engineering, and production teams and iterate based on feedback.
