Job summary

Block, a leading fintech company, is seeking a People Analyst to empower senior People leaders with data-driven decisions. You will turn ambiguous questions into scalable analyses, dashboards, and actionable recommendations using analytics tools, data systems, and AI.

You will build insights on workforce trends, organizational health, employee experience, and talent outcomes, collaborating across HR, compensation, DEI, and learning teams to improve data quality and self-service access.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting or client management.
• Understanding of HR operations, talent processes, workforce planning, employee lifecycle data, and organizational structures.
• Ability to advise senior stakeholders and turn ambiguous questions into practical analyses.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Clear storytelling and communication for executive audiences.
• SQL proficiency and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Working knowledge of data architecture, models, quality, and analytics workflows.
• Familiarity with Workday, Greenhouse, Qualtrics, or similar platforms.
• Sound judgment with sensitive employee data, including privacy, accuracy, and ethical use.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior People leaders to clarify priorities and deliver data-backed insights.
• Build analyses, dashboards, and reports on workforce trends, talent outcomes, and organizational health.
• Use AI to accelerate reporting, automate repeatable analyses, and scale insights.
• Translate ambiguous requests into structured analyses and practical recommendations.
• Create executive-ready materials that explain findings, implications, and actions.
• Consult across People functions, including HRBPs, Talent, Compensation, Operations, DEI, Learning, and Employee Experience.
• Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and self-service access to insights.
• Partner with data and systems teams to ensure accurate, reliable reporting.
• Proactively identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
