Job summary

Amazon Health Services (AHS) Learning & Development seeks an innovative Learning Experience Designer to create learning solutions across healthcare operations. The role spans eLearning, VILT, ILT, and blended formats, with AI-assisted development and advanced analytics to measure impact.

You’ll partner with SMEs and program managers to map needs, storyboard, and develop measurable objectives. A fast-paced, collaborative environment offers growth and broad scope.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• 5+ years of learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using business metrics and training data to track, trend, and manage impact.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively in writing and speaking.
• Proficiency with storyboarding, learning blueprints, and eLearning tools.
• Experience with LMS content upload, testing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick models and applying them to design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers, SMEs, and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop strategies.
• Conduct needs analysis, stakeholder interviews, and create detailed storyboards for learning experiences.
• Design and develop course content across modalities including eLearning, VILT, ILT, and blended learning.
• Create measurable objectives, scenarios, simulations, scripts, and assessments.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, personalization, and engagement.
• Apply instructional design models to rapidly design, develop, and publish content with ongoing evaluation.
• Manage multiple curricula development projects with robust project management practices.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven approaches and analytics.
• Adapt materials for different formats and platforms, leveraging AI to streamline conversion.
• Establish and maintain quality standards for all learning content.
• Upload, test, and maintain content within the learning management system (Docebo or Amazon Learn).
• Coach and mentor junior staff on instructional design techniques and development best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of instructional design processes and templates.
