Job summary

Zuora is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering for the AI Platform to lead a team building a scalable agentic platform. You will spend half of your time coding, review critical components, and drive architecture, safety, and governance for AI-powered workflows.

You will partner with Product, Security, and Architecture to balance speed and reliability while nurturing a culture of ownership and rapid yet safe delivery.

Qualifications

• Have led software engineers with hands-on coding in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment.
• Experience shipping production systems powered by LLMs and agent-based architectures.
• Designed cloud-native platforms and services with focus on reliability and developer experience.
• Strong coaching skills and ability to grow engineers into senior roles.
• Experience shipping weekly or faster with automated testing and feedback loops.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and review core platform components, owning critical parts of the system.
• Own the architecture and roadmap for the agentic platform, including runtime, orchestration, and MCP integration.
• Develop evaluation, observability, and guardrails for safe AI in financial processes.
• Create APIs, SDKs, and patterns to enable product teams to ship agents across workflows.
• Maintain a weekly release cadence with CI/CD and automated testing, ensuring quality and speed.
