Job summary

Chime seeks a Software Engineer on the AI Enablement team to build internal AI platforms, guardrails, and reusable primitives that enable safe, scalable LLM-powered workflows for employees. You’ll contribute to Archimedes, Bosun, and easyRAG, shipping production features and collaborating with Platform Engineering, Security, Risk, Legal, and product teams to advance responsible AI use across the company.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000.00 and

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production-quality features in distributed systems or platform environments.
• Hands-on with LLMs/ML services or strong curiosity to ramp into AI tooling.
• Solid coding skills in Python, Go, or TS/JS across services, CLIs, and tooling.
• Emerging platform mindset: build for reuse and multiple consumers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and extend internal AI platforms such as Archimedes, Bosun, and easyRAG to power scalable LLM applications.
• Build reusable platform capabilities including APIs, SDKs, templates, and shared services.
• Prototype and productionize new AI capabilities with senior engineers.
• Apply Chime’s golden path patterns for LLM usage and refine as you gain familiarity.
• Create features enabling AI-powered assistants and workflows in a governed, observable way.
• Learn and apply evaluation, observability, and cost-management practices across AI systems.
