Job summary

Addepar is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI Platform team. You will design, build, and productionize core AI capabilities powering our wealth technology platform, working hands-on with LLMs and agentic frameworks to deliver scalable products.

You will own full lifecycle of AI-native products, from prototyping to backend deployment, collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams to abstract AI complexity and accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong, systems-level foundation in building and scaling backend services.
• Proven experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products or strong personal AI projects.
• Bias for action and ownership; willingness to learn at the AI frontier.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Experience with LLMs and agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-native products from prototype to production.
• Develop and productionize core AI platform components like LLMs, vector DBs, prompts.
• Iterate quickly based on performance metrics and feedback.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies to stay on the frontier.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate goals into technical solutions.
