Job summary

Addepar, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineer to join our AI Platform team.

You will design, build, and productionize AI capabilities powering our platform, working directly with LLMs and agentic frameworks to translate cutting-edge concepts into robust, scalable products and capabilities. This hands-on role covers the full lifecycle from prototyping to scalable backend systems, delivering AI-native features to clients and collaborating with product managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Strong systems-level foundation for building and scaling backend services.
• Proven track record shipping AI-native products or demonstrable passion via personal AI projects.
• Bias for action and willingness to ship rapidly with feedback.
• BS/MS in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• (Preferred) Experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
• (Preferred) Hands-on experience with Databricks, Langchain, or MLFlow.
• (Preferred) Understanding of probabilistic models underpinning modern LLMs.
• (Preferred) Experience building AI products in finance domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-native products, from prototype to scalable production services.
• Develop and productionize core components of our AI platform, including LLMs, vector DBs, prompt tuning, and agentic frameworks.
• Rapidly iterate on AI products based on performance metrics and user feedback.
• Drive evaluation and adoption of new AI technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to translate strategic goals into technical realities.
