Job summary

Legion Health is building the AI-native mental health care platform and seeking a Software Engineer to own core product and agent systems end-to-end. You’ll coordinate patients, clinicians, and AI agents with strong ownership and fast iteration.

This role focuses on event-driven backends, LLM-powered agents, and human+AI operations, while ensuring safety, data integrity, and auditable workflows in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience owning real systems from 0→1 or 1→N.
• Experience with event-driven backends and production-grade architectures.
• Ability to design and implement LLM-powered agents and tool use.
• Comfort working in healthcare/regulated domains or startups.

Responsibilities

• Own the event-driven backend and scale our stack.
• Build real LLM agents with tool use, memory, and safety rails.
• Shape UX for humans and AI to operate together.
• Define world-state and simulation for patient journeys.
• Own data pipelines with HIPAA considerations and auditable workflows.
• Collaborate on architecture and strategy with leadership.
