Job summary

This senior role emphasizes design craft and proactive AI use. The cash compensation ranges from $147k–$215k in Denver and $178k–$253k in San Francisco and New York, with final offers based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• 4+ years on a product design systems team through the full lifecycle.
• 7+ years experience on a product design team.
• Genuine experience using AI tools as part of your workflow.
• Ability to pair with engineering and contribute to implementation decisions.
• Solid understanding of WCAG AA accessibility guidelines.
• Expert knowledge of AI design tools and Figma, including complex component construction.
• High degree of design craft and polish with strong design system perspective.
• Documentation expertise and ability to educate peers across disciplines.
• Experience with LLM-readable documentation, MCP servers, or AI-assisted design tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Workbench components with variants and tokenized styles.
• Own and evolve semantic and functional token architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure component consistency and code integration.
• Contribute to AI tooling and create documentation for LLMs and designers.
• Support product designers and engineers through Office Hours and reviews.
• Document design decisions, usage guidance, and component rationale.
• Participate in systemic decisions about architecture and migration during Brand Refresh.
