Job summary

Blue Shield of California’s AI & Machine Learning team seeks a Data Scientist, Consultant to develop and deploy AI-powered features across customer-facing applications, from concept to production. You will drive end-to-end delivery, collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to translate research into scalable products.

You will design, build, and ship production-grade AI products, including LLM-powered applications, agents, and RAG workflows, with a strong emphasis on care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Stats.
• 7 years in software development and AI/ML with production impact.
• Experience shipping software products end-to-end.
• Strong Python and API/backend skills.
• Familiarity with ML deployment and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI products including LLM apps.
• Translate cutting-edge AI research into real-world features.
• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop agents, RAG workflows and AI-enabled automation.
