Job summary

SAIC is seeking a skilled AI/ML Platform Engineer to build the platform that enables teams to develop AI solutions at scale. The role spans traditional ML, Generative AI, and agentic AI, with a focus on governance, security, and telemetry across cloud partners like AWS and Databricks.

The engineer partners with customers from concept through delivery, ensuring workflows are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready. A strong emphasis on IaC, API security, and repeatable patterns is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience actively writing code, building pipelines, and architecting systems.

Responsibilities

• Enable AI/ML platform services as a governed, multi-tenant enterprise offering.
• Enable GenAI application building blocks and frontier model access layers.
• Enable agentic AI patterns orchestration frameworks and tools integration.
• Develop secure API-based model access and inference endpoints.
• Document reusable patterns, frameworks, and APIs for repeat deployments.
• Partner with customers from concept to delivery end to end.
