Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI/ML Platform Architect for a rapidly growing cybersecurity client. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a 100% remote schedule (EST or CST preferred) and a base salary up to $200k plus bonus and equity.

You will define the AI roadmap, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and design and ship AI/ML solutions while mentoring engineers. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in AI/ML-focused software architecture and hands-on production experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software architecture with a strong focus on AI/ML, distributed systems, and production software.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered products from the ground up.
• Strong data engineering experience across large-scale data pipelines, ETL, streaming, and ML workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and AWS; familiarity with cybersecurity or security posture management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI/ML architecture and roadmap, translating business and customer needs into scalable, production-ready AI capabilities.
• Design, build, and optimize custom AI/ML solutions, including large-scale data pipelines and real-time processing.
• Stay hands-on in the code and contribute to production engineering while making key architectural decisions.
• Drive rapid iteration and ensure AI systems meet security, governance, and data protection standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, customers, and partners to shape AI capabilities and ecosystem integrations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and data scientists while contributing to long-term AI strategy.

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced AI/ML Platform Architect for our client, a rapidly growing cybersecurity company building AI-driven solutions for enterprise security! This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a 100% remote schedule (EST or CST preferred).

POSITION OVERVIEW

Define the AI roadmap, make key architectural decisions, and write production code alongside the engineering team. Develop a custom AI engine designed to unify fragmented security signals into actionable enterprise insights. Work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, partners, and customers to help shape the future of the AI-driven platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the AI/ML architecture and roadmap, translating business and customer needs into scalable, production-ready AI capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of software architecture experience with a strong focus on AI/ML, distributed systems, and production software.
• Proven experience building and shipping custom AI-powered products from the ground up, including hands-on experience with AI models.
• Strong data engineering experience across large-scale data pipelines, ETL, streaming, and ML workflows.
• Production experience with Python, Java, and AWS; familiarity with cybersecurity, cloud, identity, or security posture management is strongly preferred.
• Startup or early-stage experience with a demonstrated ability to take a vision from strategy through execution in an ambiguous, resource-constrained environment.
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player with the ability to bridge technical concepts with business and customer outcomes.
• Hands-on builder mentality with a track record of taking ownership, making smart technical tradeoffs, and delivering results.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This full-time position offers an annual base salary up to $200k, commensurate with experience, plus bonus & equity. The organization also provides 100% employer-paid healthcare and unlimited PTO.
