Job summary

SMX is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join our team to modernize a Data Science Platform for a Federal customer. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions using modern AI capabilities.

Responsibilities include designing AI Agents, researching Databricks/Palantir capabilities, prompting LLMs, and building chatbots while training models on production data. A DoD clearance and 6 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6 years of related work experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on development experience in training AI models.
• Experience integrating AI into Dev/Ops pipelines to expedite coding and delivery.
• Experience developing Agents using OpenAI LLMs.
• Experience with AI chatbots to support business requirements.
• Experience training ML models on live/production datasets for predictive analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new AI Agents to expedite capability development.
• Research AI capabilities within Databricks and Palantir to standardize usage.
• Prompt Engineer LLMs for analysis and coding.
• Develop chatbots to support developer and customer interactions.
• Train ML models to predict outcomes from historical data inputs.
