Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineering Manager, AI Migrations (Forward Deployed) to sit at the intersection of customer delivery and product engineering. Qualifications

• University degree in CS/engineering/math or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in technical roles involving customer-facing delivery and engineering.
• 5+ years of people management experience — mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
• 3+ years of experience building and delivering enterprise software products, particularly involving AI/ML or developer tools.
• Proven success leading migrations and cloud transformation projects.
• Strong foundation in databases, data warehouses, and data processing with hands-on experience in large-scale systems.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the data analytics stack.
• Familiarity with data integration/transformation tools and BI tools.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL, analytics, and scripting (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for migration projects and align with customer objectives.
• Lead teams executing complex migrations from legacy systems to the Snowflake platform.
• Act as escalation point for delivery concerns and coordinate with customers and partners.
• Maintain hands-on involvement on strategic projects and unblock teams.
• Collaborate with sales to scope opportunities and develop proposals.
• Drive design, development, and iteration of AI-powered migration tools and products.
• Guide team through evolving AI ecosystem to AI-first products (code translation, developer co-pilots, semantic validation).
• Translate field insights into engineering roadmap items and product improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to align priorities and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Encourage sharing of best practices, utilities, and accelerators for migrations.
