Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI to lead enterprise AI programs for strategic customers. You will manage a 2–4 engineer team, set technical direction, and remain hands-on while driving end-to-end delivery across scoping, architecture, deployment, and handoff.

Frequent travel within the USA is required. You will define quality metrics, build evaluation frameworks, and maintain safety and reliability of AI systems in production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical projects or teams and setting direction.
• Productionizing applications using LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI programs for strategic customers.
• Define quality metrics, eval loops, and datasets to ensure agent quality and safety.
• Mentor a team of Applied AI Engineers and review designs and code.
• Design, iterate, and ship ML pipelines and agentic AI solutions at scale.
• Own the production lifecycle from prototype to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Advise customer data science and engineering leadership on Snowflake AI deployments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to capture real-world patterns.
• Identify reusable deployment patterns and build reference architectures.
• Travel to customer sites to drive successful engagements (25%+).
