Job summary

Snowflake seeks an experienced software engineer to join the Migrations org, delivering AI-driven migration tools that move data-centric applications to Snowflake with speed and semantic accuracy.

You will build foundations for AI agents, ensure robust code translation, and contribute to open-source AI frameworks, working across data engineering and backend systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Python with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Experience building agentic AI applications.
• Contributions to open-source agentic frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, etc.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and backend architectures.
• High agency—ability to take ownership and navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Develop foundational code conversion techniques and AI-driven migration pipelines.
• Build robust data migration and validation pipelines for Snowflake migrations.
• Design careful APIs to adapt to evolving AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with FDE and AI teams to translate prototypes into production-ready solutions.
• Iterate with teams to deliver fast, reliable code conversion.
