Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Chinese Language Expert (AI Training) to evaluate and improve AI systems designed for Chinese language learning and communication. You will shape how AI understands, teaches, and communicates in Chinese, drawing on linguistic expertise and teaching experience.

The role is remote and hourly, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, offering freelance flexibility and opportunities for ongoing work with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Native-level Chinese proficiency required.
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language.
• Strong familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Fluency in English at C1/C2 level, with attention to linguistic consistency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Chinese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre-A1 to B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment.
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and pedagogically sound Chinese output.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language
• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
• Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required
