Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking a Principal Compliance Officer focused on Information and AI governance. You will own the obligation framework across privacy, information security, and governance, and lead a growing compliance program for AI as standards evolve.

You will partner with technology, data teams, and counsel to monitor regulatory changes, drive controls, and report posture to leadership and examiners. A strong background in compliance within regulated environments is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or JD preferred.
• Expert-level experience in compliance, information risk, privacy, or technology risk in regulated environments.
• Experience developing or standing up AI governance programs.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and AI risk management.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns the domain's obligation framework and risk register for privacy, information security, and information governance; develops AI obligations.
• Leads AI governance program development, monitors changes in regulation with counsel.
• Designs/testing of information controls; coordinates remediation with control owners.
• Prepares leadership materials showing domain compliance posture for executives and boards.
• Partners with tech, security, and data teams to translate requirements into controls.
