Job summary

Graphcore's AI Engineering Campus in Austin seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to the mechanical design and thermal validation of advanced AI hardware, gaining hands-on experience with Creo CAD, labs, testing, and documentation.

You will work with experienced engineers, learn to develop test procedures, set up lab capabilities, collect data, and help ensure design feasibility while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program in mechanical engineering.
• Foundational knowledge in mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, or related principles.
• Ability to analyze problems, document work, and communicate clearly.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design activities using Creo or comparable CAD software under guidance.
• Work with the thermal team to develop test procedures and lab capabilities.
• Support thermal and mechanical testing; collect and analyze test data.
• Assist with prototype evaluation, troubleshooting, and documentation of findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and follow safety procedures.
